28. The Bill of Lading as a non-negotiable document in connection with the transport of road vehicles, trailers or other Articles of Transport.
It is mutually agreed between the Carrier and the Shipper of a roadvehicle, a trailer or other Article of Transport that although a Bill of Lading has been issued the Carrier shall be entitled to release the roadvehicle, the trailer and other Article of Transport, including cargo, at the request of the consignee (unless the Article of Transport is consigned to order) even without the surrendering of the relevant Bill of Lading. The Carrier shall not be held liable for any consequences arising from the complying with such a request.
